Check Out African Reality Series Streaming on Showmax

Oh Sister! a Kenyan gospel reality series, is now streaming on Showmax, with new episodes every Monday. The 13-part series, which first premiered on Maisha Magic Plus, gives viewers an inside look into the lives of seven gospel stars in Kenya, and the drama and controversy that sometimes surrounds their lives.
The women of Oh Sister! include gospel singer and pastor Linel Munyali, aka Size 8, who is all about her faith, spirituality and family; celebrity YouTuber Millicent Wambui, aka Milly wa Jesus, who is one of Kenya’s most prominent influencers; singer and songwriter Bernice Nduku, aka Lady Bee; gospel singer Veronicah Mushana, aka Niccah the Queen; Kikuyu gospel singer Betty Bayo; singer and minister Janet Otieno, who is one of the most prominent gospel artists in Kenya; and beauty entrepreneur Priscilla Ndanu Maina.

The women are joined on the show by their spouses, including Size 8’s husband DJ Mo, one of Kenya’s most prominent gospel DJs; and content creator and influencer Kabi wa Jesus, husband to Milly wa Jesus.
Oh Sister! is produced by BMF member and five-time Groove Awards Video Producer of the Year Samuel Maina, aka Sammy Dee, who has since pivoted into reality TV production with projects like Date My Family Kenya.

- Our Perfect Wedding (Kenya) S16
Back for a new season, Our Perfect Wedding gives viewers a front-row seat to the intimate lives of real couples as they plan their big day.
Hosted by Angie Mlay, the reality series also features interesting backstories on how the couples started dating and the surprise proposals that made them say ‘Yes.’ In between, we also get to experience the different cultures of the bride and groom and how this ties into the overall ceremony.
Sometimes it can get dramatic but, despite it all, in the end OPW delivers a perfect wedding ceremony, giving the couples the happy endings they deserve.
OPW is produced by Eugene Mbugua’s D&R Studios, the production company behind The Real Housewives of Nairobi and Kyallo Kulture.

Season 1 of the popular reality series broke first-day streaming records on Showmax in Nigeria and was the only African title to crack the top 10 most-watched shows on the streaming service in 2022 across not just Nigeria but also Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. The Real Housewives of Lagos S2 which is already a fan-favourite in Nigeria and also currently among the top 10 most-watched shows in Kenya also broke first-day streaming records on Showmax in Nigeria, beating the first season’s record and claiming the spot as the most-watched Original on its first release day in Nigeria. In the second season, fashion entrepreneur Tania Omotayo and former model and socialite Faith Morey join the original cast, which includes popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo; celebrity designer and stylist Toyin Lawani Adebayo; and socialites and businesswomen Chioma Ikokwu, Laura Ikeji-Kanu and Mariam Timmer. These two new faces bring an extra layer of pizzazz and drama to the show, already known to start conversations on and off social media. New episodes release every Friday.
